Founder, Michael Beresford, first discovered Moor therapy over 30 years ago while teaching a meditation technique in the UK. Moor has been a part of the European healing tradition for centuries, and over the past 60 years, many clinical studies have confirmed Moor’s beneficial properties.
By combining the revitalizing, purifying Moor complex with plant-derived cosmeceuticals, herbal extracts and pure essential oils, Michael and his team of scientists at Moor Spa, have developed safe and effective spa products that will transform your skin.

Our Goal
Meet Michael
Moor Spa was founded in 1998 by Michael Beresford, BSc. Michael has a Bachelor degree in Mathematics from the University of Reading. He spent five years working in research institutes in the UK, Switzerland and Germany, developing computer software that analyzed brain function in people practicing meditation.
He is a Certified Meditation (TM) teacher and has personally instructed over 3,000 people. It was during this time that he became interested in Moor therapy and the spa concept. Michael moved to Canada in 1996 to realize his vision of establishing the Moor Spa company.
Michael has always felt strongly that spas should be a refuge not only from the stress of day-to-day life, but also from the toxicity of the modern world – so product purity and safety are at the forefront of the formulation and development of Moor Spa products.
Michael has over 20 years experience in natural product development, and has spoken at industry events in Canada, U.S.A., Brazil, South Africa, China and Australia.
